While the property today houses a new set of friends with a new look and feel, this work attempts to memorialize our claim to the space. Our unique design, from my blue accent chair to the art supplies peaking out, captures our essence which will exist indefinitely in this composition. Four hearts hover over the couch and chair, a nod to the women who called this home for two precious years. Cheers to our first apartment, and the first living room that felt like home.

After graduation and travel, I moved into an old Victorian apartment in the Marina District of San Francisco. This apartment, and its living room in particular, came to symbolize a new and exciting era of young adulthood. Here I hosted friends over many dinner parties and Sunday morning coffee dates. It was a room dedicated to leisure and community.
